Yoga Retreat in Hormuz
Hormuz Island, known as the “Island of Magic,” had a profound impact on me. The first time I set foot on this island, I was left in awe of its beauty and wonders. The place created a unique feeling in me, leading me to embark on an inner journey and establish a deeper connection with myself.
It was during this trip that I met Ghazaleh, the owner of Hormuz House. We decided to collaborate and organize a 5-day yoga retreat together. Women from all over Iran joined the program, seeking an opportunity to reconnect with themselves.
Our goal was to help participants distance themselves from the hustle and bustle of city life, busy schedules, and the overwhelming thoughts of daily routines. The aim was to dedicate time solely for themselves.
Our schedule included sunrise yoga, exploring the island’s stunning nature, enjoying healthy meals, personal reflection and writing time, and more yoga in the afternoon. The evening Shavasanas and daily yoga practices offered participants the opportunity to reconnect with themselves, perhaps after a long period of not having done so.
As a yoga instructor, I assisted others in establishing a deeper connection with their bodies and minds. This retreat was an amazing opportunity for relaxation, rejuvenation, and self-awareness in a beautiful and peaceful environment.
This experience showed how the combination of yoga and nature can help us travel within ourselves and build a deeper connection with both ourselves and the world around us.
