Alo Yoga Event
Alo Yoga is an American brand based in California, renowned for the high quality of its activewear, especially yoga apparel.
About two years ago, Alo Yoga opened its first branch in Toronto and invited me to collaborate with them. Together, we decided to organize an event called “Girls Power.” The concept of this event was my idea, and Alo Yoga became our sponsor.
At this event, we discussed important topics like feminism, highlighting the challenges women face worldwide and how their rights are often overlooked. Our goal was to raise awareness about these issues.
Participants came from various nationalities. In addition to discussions, we meditated together, and I spoke about Iranian culture as well.
We started the event with the famous Persian poem by Saadi: “Human beings are members of a whole.” This verse, inscribed at the entrance of the United Nations, emphasizes that we, as humans, are all part of one big family regardless of where we live.
Our main message was that we should help one another, just as we would for our loved ones. It doesn’t matter where people live or their gender—we must maintain this human connection and always be ready to support each other.
This event provided a great opportunity to address critical global issues while also finding inner peace through yoga and meditation practices.
Event Yoga on Valentine's Day
On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, I decided to organize a special event aimed at increasing love within the participants. This event was designed in such a way that each participant attended with a companion. This companion could be a partner, friend, sister, or any other family member.
All the exercises in this class were designed to be done as a pair. My main goal was for the participants to establish a deeper, more loving connection with their companion.
Many of the exercises were challenging and required the couples to communicate, consult, and find solutions to perform the movements correctly. In many cases, they had to support and help each other to complete the exercises.
The event was filled with joyful moments, laughter, yoga poses, challenges, and successes. At the end, we wrapped up the class with live music, meditation, and breathing exercises.
When the participants left the event, they all felt great. We also took photos to commemorate the event and capture this special experience.
This event showed how yoga can be used to strengthen relationships and increase love and intimacy. I hope this experience created a lasting memory for all the participants.
